Salesforce Health Check

Most Salesforce orgs accumulate technical debt silently. Outdated automation, over-permissioned users, and conflicting Flows slow teams down without anyone noticing. Our free health check surfaces what needs fixing, in priority order.

What We Review

The audit covers four areas. Each one gets its own findings section in the written report.

Security Model

  • Profile and permission set audit
  • Sharing rule review for over-exposure
  • Field-level security gaps
  • Login IP restrictions and session settings
  • User deactivation hygiene

Automation Health

  • Active Flow inventory and performance review
  • Legacy Workflow Rules and Process Builders
  • Apex trigger conflicts and order of execution
  • Scheduled job health and failure rates
  • Automation test coverage

Data Quality

  • Duplicate record rate by object
  • Required field compliance
  • Stale and inactive record audit
  • Data storage utilization
  • Report and dashboard accuracy spot-check

Adoption Indicators

  • Daily active user rates by role
  • Login frequency analysis
  • Unused features and licenses
  • Custom object and field usage
  • Helpdesk ticket pattern analysis (if available)

What You Receive

You leave the health check with three things:

01

Written Findings Report

Every issue we identify, documented in plain language with severity ratings (critical, high, medium, low) and the business impact of leaving it unaddressed.

02

Prioritized Remediation Roadmap

A list of actions in the order we recommend addressing them, with rough effort estimates for each so you can plan the work realistically.

03

60-Minute Readout Call

We walk through the report together, answer your questions, and explain the reasoning behind our recommendations. No sales pitch, just the findings.

Common Findings

These are the issues we find most often. They are worth knowing about even before we look at your specific org.

Legacy automation still running

Workflow Rules and Process Builders were retired by Salesforce. Many orgs still run them alongside modern Flows, creating conflicts and unpredictable data behavior.

Profiles with System Administrator-level permissions

Reps who do not need admin access often have it because nobody audited profiles after the initial setup. This is a security risk and a compliance concern.

Duplicate records in the double digits as a percentage

Accounts and contacts accumulate duplicates over time. A 15% duplicate rate means 15% of your CRM data cannot be trusted. Most orgs have not run deduplication since implementation.

Inactive users still holding licenses

Employees who left the company often have active Salesforce users sitting on paid licenses. Auditing this consistently recovers budget.

Flows that query inside loops

This common development mistake creates governor limit violations that fail silently for some records and loudly for others. Teams often do not know it is happening.

Common Questions

What does a Salesforce health check include?

We review your security model (profiles, permission sets, sharing rules), automation coverage (Flows, Apex triggers, obsolete Workflow Rules), data quality, custom code health, and overall org performance indicators. You receive a written findings report with prioritized recommendations.

How long does the health check take?

The initial review takes 3 to 5 business days from the time we get access to your org. We then schedule a 60-minute readout call to walk through the findings and answer questions.

Is the health check really free?

The initial audit and findings call are free. If you want us to implement the recommendations, that is a separate engagement with its own scope and pricing.

What access do you need to the org?

We need a System Administrator profile user or a read-only security review user with access to Setup. We never request production org credentials over email and we follow a documented access handoff process.

What are the most common issues you find?

The top findings are: legacy Workflow Rules and Process Builders that should be migrated to Flow, profiles with excessive permissions that create security risk, duplicate records that undermine data reliability, and automations that conflict with each other and cause unexpected data mutations.
